How to Play Ember Sweeper: Power-Clue Beginner Guide
Ember Sweeper is a browser power-clue sweeper (the same family of games as Dragonsweeper). Numbers show total adjacent enemy power—not mine counts. Use clues to find safe cells, spend health in selected fights, level up, defeat the dragon, and claim the crown.
Understand power clues
A clue of 5 can mean one power-5 enemy, five power-1 enemies, or another combination. The clue is a sum, so one number rarely tells the whole story.
Use two or more nearby clues together. Cells shared by multiple clues are the most valuable because each reveal changes several constraints at once.
- Count power, not enemies.
- Subtract confirmed power from nearby totals.
- Recheck the frontier after every reveal.
Treat health as a resource
Opening an enemy is not automatically a mistake. It can be a calculated trade when your health is greater than the enemy power and the fight opens a useful route.
Avoid spending health on isolated cells. The best fights reveal new clues, unlock rewards, or complete an upgrade cycle.
Use flags correctly
Right-click on desktop or long-press on touch devices to flag a cell. Flags are temporary hypotheses. Remove them when new evidence changes the likely power distribution.
Win the run
A reliable run alternates deduction, selective combat, experience collection, and upgrades. Do not rush the dragon merely because you found it. First clear surrounding uncertainty and enter the final fight with a health buffer.
