Classic Minesweeper
Click to reveal, right-click or long-press to flag, and clear every safe cell to win. Start on Beginner, climb to Expert, or build your own board. Also try Ember Sweeper for power-clue dungeon combat.
How to play classic minesweeper
- Click or tap a covered tile to reveal it. The number shows how many mines touch that tile.
- Right-click (desktop) or press-and-hold (mobile) to place a flag on a suspected mine.
- When a revealed number has the right flag count around it, double-click or middle-click to reveal its neighbors (chording).
- Reveal every tile that is not a mine to win. One wrong click on a mine ends the run.
Difficulty levels
- Beginner — 9×9 board, 10 mines.
- Intermediate — 16×16 board, 40 mines.
- Expert — 30×16 board, 99 mines.
- Custom — choose your own width, height, and mine count.
